My concerns for the past 20 years have been about human relationships and their importance, and the problem of self-love often trumping our love of others. Many years of thought and a decade of researching and writing resulted in my book, To Find the Way of Love. “To find the way of love” is to re-explore and re-examine the purpose of our existence.
Personal background that informed my thinking and writing includes past vocations as a Navy fighter pilot and an executive in hospital building and administration; marriage, divorce, and widowing; fatherhood and grandfatherhood; becoming part of another culture and learning another language; and a long-term passion for the arts.
I am delighted and honored by these recognitions of my book:
2012 National Indie Excellence Award winner, philosophy category
2012 USA Best Book Award finalist, social change category
Note To Our Readers:
You may wonder why all blogs are signed, Oliver & Barbara. I spent over ten years researching and writing To Find The Way Of Love. It was a solo venture. When the book was published, and the time came to commit to social media and weekly blogs, my wife, Barbara, and I wanted this part of our journey to be a collaboration. We both enjoy the collaborative process, thinking, discussing and writing about ideas and topics that interest us. We hope they are of interest to you.
As we greatly enjoy the process, we hope you enjoy the result.
We welcome your comments.
